Flossing can also help clean the teeth even to parts that are rarely reached when you brush. Using dental floss once a day can help you clean spots in between teeth. Experts recommend to use 18 inches of floss and wind it around the middle fingers of your two hands then carefully rub it in between your teeth, especially those that are not effectively reached throughout tooth brushing. Brushing the tooth surfaces isn't enough; it is best to include inner parts of your teeth as well. Cleaning your tongue is also recommended to take out bacteria on it.

Cleaning your mouth with anti-microbial wash can reduce the activity of oral plaque and bacteria. Mouth rinses with fluoride can additionally give you instant protection towards tooth decay. However, it is always recommended to consult your dentist prior using a new product. Not everyone is suggested to utilize mouth rinses with fluoride. For instance, fluoride rinses aren't encouraged for 6 year-old children and below because they have the tendency to consume them.
